How long will it take to assess me for Eco4?

There are 2 parts to meeting eligibility criteria for Eco4: a personal level of eligibility, and then property level.

The first, Personal level, is an assessment we carry out with you, which can be done on the phone, but is normally don in person. Because, we like meeting our customers face to face.

Your Energy Assessor will be able to let you know in as little as a few minutes.

Eligibility at Person level is based on you, or someone in your household meeting any one of these criteria:

1. Health issue related to heart, lungs, mobility, or an autoimmune disease
2. Recipient of means-testing benefits (Universal credit, pension credits, etc)
3. Household income of less than £31,000 per year

Once we know you meet one of the above, we conduct a basic assessment of your home. If you already have solar panels, a new boiler, and full insulation, your home will already have a high energy efficiency rating, so Eco4 won’t be able to offer you much.

If we think your energy efficiency is likely to be rated E or below (on a scale of A being a new build, and G being a stone farm house with a coal burner), then one of our partner surveyors will be with you promptly to complete their assessment. As soon as they confirm your property is eligible, we will talk you through what to expect, and action the necessary paperwork.

Our role is to make this as easy and stress-free as possible for you, after all!
