Approximately 30% of your heat loss is through uninsulated walls, with a further 25% through uninsulated roofs.
The good news though, for a large number of homes, is it’s not too late to benefit from the Great British Insulation scheme – a free scheme designed to insulate roofs or walls in small and medium-sized properties with poor energy efficiency, regardless of assets or income.
If your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating is D or below (hint – if you don’t have both wall and roof insulation that’s probably you), and you are in council tax band A-D (England) or A-E (Scotland and Wales), you likely qualify.
