Who Qualifies For ECO4?

The UK ECO4 scheme is a government energy saving scheme administered by Ofgem for the UK. It aims to provide energy efficiency and heating measures for homes across the country. The program begins on July 27, 2022 and will run until March 31, 2026.

To qualify for the UK ECO4 scheme, there are different criteria depending on whether you are a supplier or an owner/tenant. Here are the eligibility conditions:

For suppliers:

Suppliers must meet their obligations under the ECO4 program. They must meet specific requirements regarding household eligibility. Measures implemented in the program must meet the criteria set by the ECO, including eligibility and technical requirements.

Suppliers must meet ECO savings targets, which include partial and total project scores. They must provide the necessary information and notice regarding the measures taken.

Suppliers must meet the technical and score tracking requirements set forth by ECO4. They must follow audit and anti-fraud procedures.

For Owner/Tenant:

Eligibility for ECO4 funding as a homeowner or tenant is determined based on the property’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating.

Properties with an EPC E, F or G grade are eligible for the ECO4 . program

Beneficiaries of state aid, subsidies, allowances and credits can benefit from ECO4 financing.

Homeowners or renters who do not qualify for the benefits mentioned may still be eligible for the local government’s FLEX & LADS program, which offers reduced rates on material upgrades insulation.
