Various Councils announce new grants

This week there is good news for residents and business owners regarding Council & Government support to make a world a greener place.

North Northamptonshire Council is offering support to businesses to increase their energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, and separately, to help with decarbonisation and green research & development initiatives. Grants from £5,000 – £50,000 are available to cover up to 50% of costs.
West Yorkshire’s Home Energy initiative is now offering £5,000-$24,000 grants to homeowners to install new windows, solar panels, heat pumps and insulation. The loans are on a fixed rate of 3.26% interest.
In Wealden, grants are available to create and improve green spaces and community areas. Individual projects can receive up to £20,000, with a pot of £120,000 available to share.  The aims are to improve accessibility and energy efficiency for community facilities and infrastructure as well as improving green spaces and active travel routes.
For people eligible for ECO4 grants, there is no money to repay, and so interest charges to worry about. After recent changes to the ECO4 funding, we now encourage everyone to apply sooner rather than later.
We are here to help, just call 0333 5333 554 to speak to an ECO4 Energy Assessor.
