Do I need batteries for my PV system?

Most of our customers are not in a financial position to consider spending £4k-8k on solar batteries. That’s the nature of ECO4, it aims to help the those most at risk of fuel poverty.

For some very fortunate customers though, the option of improving their self-reliance buy purchasing solar storage batteries is an option they want to explore.

There are a number of factors to consider, including but not limited to:

– the alignment of your roof
– our current energy usage
– the projected return on investment on a purchase

If you are thinking about adding a battery, please speak to your ECO4 installer prior to booking your install. They can advise you on the best option for you. If you are unsure, you might want to discuss a hybrid inverter. There is an additional cost, but this upgrade will give you the option of adding a battery after you have had a chance to live with your solar system first.
