Why can’t I get funding?

Eco4 is designed to help people with certain health issues (heart lungs, mobility & autoimmune), and people on low incomes (less than £31k). For these people, if their homes have an EPC of D or less, they should (in theory) be able to access the Eco4 scheme. and receive free, complete upgrades to their homes.

Unfortunately though, the system is broken. Funders change the amount they will pay installers, and Ofgem (who own the scheme) let them.

We aim to help as many customers as we can. Because of this, we might offer limited or reduced measures, or just insulation instead. Insulation makes the biggest impact on your comfort and costs. Please feel free to talk to your energy assessor about this, they have all the ins and outs and can talk you through the best options for your property.

If you have been impacted by funding issues, please feel free to write to Ofgem, or your local MP.
