Don’t qualify for ECO4? Try Green Homes Wales

The Development Bank of Wales is currently taking applications for interest free loans to help people secure the same energy-saving measures ECO4 offers. If you own your own home, in Wales, you could borrow up to £20,000 to install insulation, solar energy and renewables-based heating systems. You’ll have 10 years to repay the loan, with no interest to pay.

You’ll need to run the numbers yourself (or ask your qualified Retrofit Assessor to run the for you), but for a lot of people, the energy saving measures will pay for themselves in that period of time.
